Easter Traditions (Mission Update)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Here in Peru we had Semana Santa (Holy Week). They have lots of traditions.

One tradition is to eat 12 plates or twelve different things. Here is some of them. 1)Soup with fish eggs (not my favorite). 2)A plate with corn, fish and patatoes. 3)Mozamorra and arroz con leche (a type of desert) 4)Empanada are just some of the plates.

Another tradition is to do paintings in the streets by the Catholic church. They use wood shavings and dye them, they also use corn peelings. In the olden times they used to use flower petals.

Today for P-day we cooked lunch with this member in our ward. Here's some pictures. It was really fun.

I hope you all have a wonderful week. I'll write more next week with more stories.

Love you all! Hermana Madsen
